» What you need

You need to have with you
* IMEI number
(Enter *#06# on your phone's key pad and the 15 digit number will be displayed on the screen or you will find it on a label on the back of your phone, underneath the battery.)
* Your current network and country
* The model of you phone
* Once you have this info post these details
» How to use:

Remove SIM Card and turn phone on.
Enter codes in to main screen.
You should always try code 7 and 1 first.
To get the 'p' push your '*' key 3 times, the 'w' is the '*' pushed 4 times.

Don't forget to remove SIM-card, when entering codes!
After entering unlock code phone will display:
"SIM restriction off" - when lock has been successfully removed;
"Code error" - when entered unlock code is wrong;
"Can't undo restriction" - when you've tried to enter wrong codes too many times;

You have only 5 tries to enter proper unlock codes!
After that your phone can be unlocked only via cable, unlock codes won't work anymore!

Read all that information carefully... Good Luck!

just a question - i know its prolly stupid :rolleyes:
What can i do more when i unlock the phone?

DANGERMOUSE
1st February '04, 21:34
Once your phone is unlocked, it will allow you to use any sim card in your phone. i.e. If your on orange, 02, T-mobile, vodafone pay go/contract the chances are your phone will be locked to only work with that network. Thats the benefits of having your phone unlocked!!

DANGERMOUSE

For that specfic model you can only unlock it through a data cable (Serial Data cable F/m Bus, and with a software called "eeprom tools". hxxp://www.cubwolf.co.uk/software/etool.zip (http://www.cubwolf.co.uk/software/etool.zip), hxxp://www.activemobiles.com/nokia_51_61_cables.htm (http://www.activemobiles.com/nokia_51_61_cables.htm)
Once you have the data cable cable click the pad lock button on the software and thats it, Your phone is now unlocked.

There is no other way of unlocking that handset without a data cable!!!!

DM, I would be interested, I actually had a look for the unlock info on the net a while back, but I have a fairly new phone, and there wasnt anything available for it at the time. Plus, the handset wont display "w", only "p" via the "*" method.

so, do you know if it possible to unlock a Sony Ericsson z600 from t-mobile in this way?

DANGERMOUSE
1st February '04, 22:35
The Method above will only apply to nokia phones. Regards to your phone the best placed to get your sony ericcson z600 unlocked is htxxp://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/Unlocking/sonyericssonremoteunlock.htm (http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/Unlocking/sonyericssonremoteunlock.htm) They are properly the cheapest you will found.

Sorry i couldn't help in any other way mate!!!

When i had my phone unlocked.... just a basic nokia... for UK... on orange... i took it into a friends shop and he plugged it into a black box with 3 flashing blue lights... and 2 big batteries 2 seconds later its unlocked... no codes.

Although if u have the right serial cables you can do it yourself through pirate software on the net (same apps as most of the people that charge u a tenner use) just type name of your phone in ebay and bingo bango! :P

This will be because your phone is blacklisted on all networks in the uk!! Either its been reported being stolen or the phone bill hasn't been paid.

If you place an orange or 02 sim card into the phone you will get sim card registration failed and no signal or in your case voda/t-mobile with 3 beeps!!!

Theres nothing much more you can do mate.

Okay Lanki, try these. I would only advise entering the code ONCE (not twice as stated below) So ensure you enter the code correctly first time.

If you get a Code error on one of the attempts, don't worry, you normally do get that message, but one of the 2 codes should display a "Phone Restrictions Removed" message upon pressing the final # and your phone will reset.

If it doesn't, leave it and walk away from these codes. (Don't try them again!)

IMEI: 350692806141008
MCC-MNC: 23433
Phone model: 3310

REMOVE YOUR SIM CARD BEFORE ENTERING THESE CODES

#pw+5969609753+1#
#pw+9577842651+2#

To access button + you have to press twice * within less than a second.
To access P just press * three times within one second.
To access W press * four times within one second.

dont try to enter this codes at same unlock level more than 2 times or your phone will die.

Let us know if it works alright please Lanki (I've never tried unlocking an Orange phone using this new method, :))

(ignore this bit Ru$ky, this is my check to ensure I got your details right
IMEI: 350102202349064
NETWORK: 23433
GID1 code: 0000)

CODES:
#pw+6602724064 +1#

Try these (take your time and ensure you don't make a mistake with the numbers). If you get "code Error" twice, don't try it again and post on here or email me. If you get "sim card restriction off (or something like that) then your phone is unlocked :)
