Whilst on server, you can access the map list by typing amx_listmaps in console. It will show 10 maps per page. To access the second page you type amx_listmaps 11 (or 21,31,41 etc). All the above maps can be nominated but there is a map history of 25. Admins may be able to choose additional maps not on that list.

Some peeps have been grumbling about our only fun map again (fy_pool_day). Perhaps a change to fy_poolparty? This map is slightly bigger and has (wait for it) a basement! (well kindof- a little ramp realy).

i find it strange that everyone whines about pool_day, but i've often played at times when the server (that was at sparky's server) and within 5 mins the number of players went from 4-5 to max. This has happened at a very high %'age of the times i've been on late.

only complaint i have it please turn of the freezetime. If the opponents has a gun, you're dead, can't do anything about it.

Nibenay ... on CZ server I used to like very much pool_day and when I came to CsN it was same too .. but I became better and I changed my mind : fool_gay is a bad map with no objectives (I don't think many bombs have been planted ...) and when a team wins the first few rounds ... they will win all the rounds after ...

fy_ maps have no objective as such apart from having fun. A short time on a fun map, such as pool_day can be fun. However, the emphasis is on the short time which is why all fun maps have a 20 minute map time with only two 10 minute extensions allowed.

There is no freezetime on LA1. LA2 appears to be missing the map config. Brainlag can copy over the LA1 configs later or create his own if he feels he wants to alter the default settings.

If the server is quiet, then turning on pool_day is one sure way to get it filled up quickly.

Kev look in your map directory of cs it should me in there if you played it from the same pc, maybe then you recognise it

If youre going to do this, you may as well delete half the maps on the server as there are a lot like this. And the latest update will retry with the old Trickle method if HTTP doesnt work anyway.

from the new maps lately tested i would like to see balkanization and pipeline on server 1 or 2. Both seemed quite fair, althou it is hard to say afther playing it once or twice. They are not lagy and are suitable for 32 players (31 that is).

Is that the file you are talking about ? What can i do , so i can play the robbery ?

that is the file in question which is why i pulled robbery from LA1. It just needs a fakefile called that put in your models folder. It wont alter the game as its oversight from the map author.

it had a number of exploits which were continuously getting abused (see through roof, ability to run behind part of the roof and be hidden from view). Shame as it was a good map without those problems.

in each afternoon we play only he_dodgeball / pool_suite and pool_suite_ex , pumpalley and other "fy" map with multiple extend , WTF on the loony server ?????
We vote a map and "annie" change for pumpalley for "special stuff" i respect them but its not cool for the other players.

As twin says dd annie spesh and a few others in the afternoon come on for some rip roaring fun. FUN being the word here if u think having the map vote changed is bad waite untill DD comes on for scoutz knifes no matter what vote comes on you get it it ios allways extended but hey this is the la server where anything can and will happen sit back relax and enjoy the ride if u dont like the map or the antics of the admins and regs. Well what can i say most of us dont play on this server for the cs but for the LAUGH we have playing it.

de_ritual - name rings a bell. think it was tested and failed.

cs_desperados - tested and liked but heavy on cpu. New server shouldnt have a problem with it though.
de_morningstar - i downloaded it yesterday but map failed to allow spawn edits

That map list would be about 1.5 gig of files. That would be one big download. An even bigger upload for me on my slow connection.

You should be able to find most on google or put up with the server download which uses the fast webserver method and not the slow server download method. Although some still manage to download maps that way.

32 spawns are not enough. We need 36. However, that is not required as I edit all the spawn points before putting the maps on anyway.

They were both on the server in past but neither were popular.

tks for downtown bug. Sili, told me too. It will have to be pulled as its a map bug by the looks of it.

Fun maps are available on the main server for admin selection only (at this time). Its because the fast download method only works off the main 1.6 directories at this time, so all the fun map files are in there as well. Not all the fun maps have enough spawns though for the main server. Having a few fun maps with 30 players occassionally is not a bad thing. However, having them all available all the time would be chaos.

Here's an official list of some of the suggestions I've been randomly drivelling about during map test nights:

blahhh - this is an absolutely horrible map but I think it's worth at least a test because it's so crackers it's really very funny. I would say this is a 30 player one, even though it is technically a "fun" map, simply because it's really quite big.

mindmaze - this map is awful with awps but Loony doesn't have awps so it might be worth a test. It's a peculiar map with scope for both rushing and camping and it also has strong elements of an aim map without the dullness of say aim_ak_colt. Would work on either server but might be better on the 30 player.

de_westwood - this is quite T biased, (then again I have only played it with ff on which probably makes a significant difference) but it looks good, is interestingly set up and imo a lot of fun. Another one for the 30 player server.

kz_games - this is another funallinone/matrix type map and it is without doubt too small for the 30 players server but may work well on the fun one.

I will run through the recommendations for the next one. As it happens I already have over 30 maps lined up for the main server next test session. Mostly from map authors who already have maps on the server.

The fun server needs some more maps too.

How often do you do these tests of new maps? I like some of the default maps, but then I know I can't change much - Im also a fan of Dust4.

i cant connect the server when "de_damaged" is the map on , i think one file is perhaps damaged , is it possible to have files list for that map ? so i cant erase them , for reloading them .

when damaged is next on, it should tell you the file it has a problem with. Delete that and try again. Aztecx can be put back on. I just couldnt remember if the copy in my folder was the fixed one or not.
