Potential LAN date and venue poll!

We have a possible venue and date available to us so I am asking you to let us know if you will be available or not. If there are too many who cannot make the date, then we will have a look at organising another set of dates, however it will have to be at another venue.

The dates are 27th to 30th August 2010 and the venue is the same as the last one and a few others, Narborough Commnuity Centre. http://www.narborough.org/ Great venue for LANs, loads of room for PCs etc, plenty of sleeping space, own kitchen and showers and late bar.

We realise that whatever date we chose will not be suitable for everyone but if a large portion of us can make these dates, then we dont then have to search for another venue etc. These dates are the bank holiday weekend so less time to book off ;) although some of you might be attending one of the festivals :(

Any comments are more than welcome and hopefully we can get this off the ground.

I only go back to work on the 23rd after 2 weeks off so I wont be able to get time off again that quickly.

if that dosent get the go ahead there is a few venues in luton i can get good discount with access to bar and kitchen showers etc just let me know but im there either way

talking to skunk tother day, i thought that seeing as 1st lan was with andy & andy at the jug hows about having "last lan" with andy & andy at their new place in Filey

i know its a bit further for you southerners

i rang andy today asking if they could accomodate us & shit. they have a large consevatory & back garden (with possability of getting marquee (would be cool in the summer). they also would rent out rooms, andy also said there was a cheap campsite very near them.

atm the venue is available to us

27 - 30 is also bank holiday.

i think it would be nice to have our potentially last lan with the people who looked after us so well previously (it would also help them as its very quiet atm for them), but depends on you guys

Aww bernie tis a shame but at least you have a good reason not to come and Im sure a lil bernado will make up for the disappointment at not meeting up with us all.

Our 'new' place is nothing like the Jug - it's better!
We'd accommodate you in a marquee in our courtyard next to the letting rooms.
The rooms have a shower, toilet and basic cooking facilties and room for 3 to sleep - there would be 2 or 3 available.
There is room in the conservatory / pub to sleep everyone else on blow-up beds.
We now have a kitchen so we can do you breakfasts / Sunday lunch etc.
We are open til 9am - 2am to the public - 24 hours for you as you are residents.
It's only a few minutes walk to the beach.
We've entertainment on too as it's a Bank Holiday.

Oh, and we've still got a big screen and sound system for Guitar Hero etc...

Be good to see you all again, but understand if we're too far away.

Yeah, problem with the community center (although a awesome venue) is we are limited to the dates we can go as they teach and play bingo and have swingers party's in there!

I think because of the people who cant make it the dates may be unsuitable so we will be looking at getting other dates and potential venues. Still waiting to hear back from the 2 Andys for when they can accomodate us.

We can accommodate most weekends but our holiday rooms are filling rapidly so we'd need a quick answer so I can block a weekend off. September would be really good for us as August is peak season and full of kids.

Back to the LAN. Hoping that we can get something organised at some point.

I have had a lot of problems recently and not had the time or energy to take it forward. Currently having to find somewhere to live rent free as have no money to pay rent, in the next couple of weeks. Think I have somewhere but its needs some work to make it happen. Also my PC is seriously misbehaving. Random freeze ups :( think prob is mobo but i have no money to replace/upgrade, it got so bad that windows totally fucked up. Now reinstalled on a spare drive.
