Personally I think most of them just grew out of gaming. Some of those guys still pop round every now and again though.

I reckon Sili and BigMac were legends too, was a shame about the split. Manwee, DD, S79 were all good guys too.

I'd say he was/is, can catch him on MSN from time to time but havent spoken to him myself since around the time he stepped down.

And did Bear actually go to Simiancage? Because i remember he was still around here for awhile long after Simiancage was made but then he just disapered for months at a time. Neg went in the army i think? Urb has been traveling the world but i think hes home now?

Manwe is Norwegian yeah, but i dunno what hes upto these days. Altho i do think i have him on FB...

And Urb was just in Canada but i think he headed home a few weeks ago(ie home to UK)

Hmm, what's all this then? Hello people :D

I just had a look at the my post/visit stats and it shows my last one as just over 2 years ago. Is that right? Seems way longer than that I have to say.

As for where am I now? Well, I gave up gaming when I got tired of my graphics card over heating and decided to buy a laptop (which wasn't good enough to play counter strike... it was one of those net book things...the screen was 12"). I hung around on the forums for about a year or so and then just drifted away. I still think about installing CS1.6 now and then but I haven't really got the time to get addicted to it again ;)

I am still in sunny North Wales and working for the same company... who for some crazy reason (given I just browse the net all day) decided to promote me to IT Manager heh.

A little about me for those that don't know.

I'm a bit of a lurker, but I used to play loads in the golden era of counter strike. My reflexes were unmatched. Many n00bs were left dead at my feet for years until I stopped playing a little after CS:Source came out.

Hello!

I don't really have time for lots of gaming these days work keeps me busy and so does the girlfriend.

Other than Looking to try out this new CS:S when it is finally updated.
Got hooked on l4d and l4d2 but that died off now. not really found anything that has kept me interested these days apart from angry birds on the iphone and starfleet commander(similar to ogame)

It is nice to see people are still around!

I'm living in London now. I'm a web designer, freelance and in-house, and a martial arts / self-defence instructor.

Most of my free time is taken up by training, either urban krav maga, mma or bjj.

I've also been straight edge for 6 months now.

Haven't played any computer games for years now, since getting a laptop instead of a desktop.

After starting out in kickboxing and Muay Thai, I'm now an instructor with the British Combat Association in Urban Krav Maga. I also cross train in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts.

Still alive and well and living in Manchester. Currently working for IBM as a software test engineer. Got married last year to a wonderful girl (Anna) and am very happy.

Game wise I am a total Warcraft whore. I am the GM on a successful guild on the Bloodhoof server http://twilight-dawn.co.uk/ , we currently 10/12 (10 man) and 4/12 (25 man) in ICC.

Miss the old days here and I have lots of happy memories of playing on Loony!

Yellowsnow, last time i spoke to him, hes still running TMH and playing occasionaly.
Zen moved back to Malaysia(sp?) and thats why hes not around so much.
Most of the people i know from CSS are either still on CSS or now playing MW2/WoW.

Hello Ladies, yes I'm still alive :D. I'm now married and got 3 kids living at home now. If you ever want to find me I'm usually on WOW hellfire server, horde side, with 7 lvl 80's to play, I see Yoda quiet abit and hav long chats while waiting for random dungeons etc....

Guess noone remembers me then, 7 pages without a mention :(
Got the call and thought I'd come check it out. Can't believe how many of the old legends I remember - everyone
at the first loony lan was a legend in my eyes! Shame my T-shirt finally disintegrated into rags.
Played Eve for a while, grew tired of shooting rocks
Did hardcore WoW raiding on Turalyon server till TBC
Switched to Emerald Dream server to do casual raiding with RL friends till WOTLK when Blizz removed all skill and
challenge from the game (good move Blizz!)
Played Itswar on Itswar.net (another declining community of gamers)
Discovered that i could have a life away from the computer screen... went from 40 hours gaming a week to 10
Played CS:S for a while only to discover the years of WoW had stripped me of my mojo.
Played Farmville and Mafiawars for a bit even though I hated them
Played and still play TF2 on the TriggerHappyGamers servers, joined their community, now known as THG|Max Carrion
Just started playing L4D2 this week and loving it!
IRL I'm now working as a Risk Systems Analyst for an international finance company, returned to book & dice,in person RPGs,
have recently quit smoking and tonight I'm off to the first sanity party I've ever been invited to (a friend just finished a course of therapy)
It's kinda sad, every new game comes with a new community, old communities fade in memory and time. Some people I remember but
I can't even remember their screen names. I'll list just a few (most of whom have already been mentioned)
Madbird and Special Stuff, always by my side during the mad rush's, always making me laugh on the mic
Sili, server mom and favorite victim, I still remember the "Oh Max :("
Zeph, Boroboy, Bullet Magnet and JonO, great hanging out with you guys at the Loony LAN and on the server
Urb, noone should be able to play that well you freak...
DD and.... oh something to do with a hamburger... the happy ScoutzKnivez memories

Yo Bitches! I felt something in my waters today and decided to come back to this hell hole.
I was looking through my pictures the other day and came across screen shots of the fun server on that pirate ship where there is a rope up top conecting the two ships, it shows us all making a pyramid. This picture alone almost brought a tear to my eye.

Well it is nice to see so many old school names floating around. Mord I remember you as a little noob on Source when it first came out and I let you join [br] and then you grew into server master or something. Legge Yoda BM Zeph all legends and many more that I cant be bothered to type.

I started playing CS:S again on UKCS#3 add me on friends Neg<Matt>

My life: (in short...ish)
Went to NZ for 4 months....skiing....Amazing!
Went to OZ for 14 months.....travelled everywhere....amazing!
Went to Vietnam.....Crazy place, beautiful, culture shock....amazing!
Went to Cambodia....Lots of temples....Elephants...nice people....amazing!
Went to Thailand....really beautiful islands...partyed(hard)...Bangok..sleazy...ran out of money!
Came home (Stoke-on-Trent)....Boring...cold...no job...no money
Went to France...got job in alps...worked in a chalet..skied everyday....Sick!
Came home...Boring...no job...no money...wanted to kill myself!
Went to Greece (Rhodes)...Hot!...worked for a party boat..lots of Scandinavian girls..Amazing!!
Came home (Present time)...bored out of my mind..trying to find somewhere to live for uni.

So thats my break down of my life. I start uni in October doing a degree in Arboriculture, which for people that don't know is the study of trees as I am a tree surgeon. I am studying at an agriculturial college in Moulton a little village a couple of miles from Northampton, cant wait!

well a short update on my life:

2008 joined the airforce
2009 three minor deployments (2 in afghanistan and 1 in bosnia)
2010 1 major deployment (Lebanon) + start of basic sergeant school
2011 graduated sergeant of the combat support troops in the airforce and deployed the danish part of the Operation Odessey Dawn and just came home.

so thats my life the past few years :)

Eat shit Rusky, how could you forget me.

I think the last time I was on here it was around 2008, it feels much longer.

What has happened in these past years: I have moved company, still in the same profession, stopping trains bashing together. I now have 2 kids, one boy aged 7 and a girl aged 3. I've still managed to ovoid getting married, got a mortgage and a cat. I have a Honda fireblade which I ride on track days and compete in the occasional short circuit race and I play golf (badly).

Its weird being back on here as I haven't played CS for what seems like a life time. I have very good long lasting memories of staying up all night shooting the shit out of squishie, sili, wheels, DD, rusky, etc etc the list goes on and on. Great times not to mention the Lans that I made it to.

Like most ppl, I have moved to console games as I cant be arsed keeping my PC up to spec for the new releases.

I hope every one who remembers me are well and happy in there respective lives, I will try to drop in here every now and then to catch up.

I'm still a PC die-hard, can't beat ye old mouse and keyboard and modding the f*ck out of everything. I'm in Japan at the moment backpacking, but have been re-playing the Baldurs Gate series recently, as there is a great mega-mod out called the big picture. Also been playing Portal 2, although have yet to finish it. I do want to do the coop campaign at some point though!

Life is good for me mate, married and planning for kids next year :D hope things are going well for you.

I was planning on setting up a 1.6 CS weekend at the end of May, just got devilfish to agreed to setup a server on one of the racks. Then I will start to look for old players that may want to join in, I was thinking about the LA, CSN, BSOD and SC members to join for a weekend shoot out.

Just let me know and I will post the details for you guys.

Q, Zeph what's going on with the website? looks like someone has deleted the website or host? has something happened to LA not been around for the last 5/6 years!

played with art a few times on css as well around same time, he was always being accused of hacking on here, but imo he just had skillz unlike the rest of us. He is much better than me at css too :(

Unfortunately, it was a case of less and less people playing due to life committments and other games coming on the market (and a case I guess of CS 1.6 being 14 or so years old) so we couldn't afford to keep it going.

The way the loonies are spread far and wide these days requires a notice period to set up a proper game of something imo

If you can arrange a date and server for some css action, i can spam registered loony members and steam group for you :P

Also Lid was asking about a game of 1.6 the other night, so if maybe we could arrange a night for that too?
