So I'm back from Paris to find that my firefox is acting all weird on me. I left England with my Firefox customised with cool themes, and great extensions. I come back, and my firefox is back to default settings!!! why?!!! ALL my bookmarks are gone.

no one else uses firefox other than me. no one used the PC when i was away, yet Firefox is defaulted on me....

why?!

i use the latest firefox, v 1.7.5

New Firefox fixes ''extremely critical'' security flaws - [FoxFire!]
Submitted by monktallica on 5/12/2005 4:58:19 PM 7 Comments

Mozilla is now recommending that people upgrade to the latest version of Firefox, 1.0.4. This new version of the popular internet browser addresses flaws that were found by security experts Secunia, which were dubbed as "extremely critical."

Secunia said they were "extremely critical" because they could have let cookie and history information be used to get access to personal information or access previously visited sites.

The first flaw reported fooled the browser into thinking software was being installed by a legitimate, or safe, website. The second happened was related to the software installation trigger which was not able to properly check icon web addresses which contain JavaScript code.

Potentially, a hacker could have taken advantage of the security flaws to secretly launch malicious code or programs.

Upgrading = good idea
