Tesco for food/drink shopping, M&S for Birthday cakes and things like Peking Duck.
We bought the Indian takeout meal from Asda a couple of times and we have bought clothes for the children there also.... there isn't a Sainsburys near us - there is a new Morrisons but they have put it in a place where the traffic is really bad so I avoid it.
I once bought broccoli at Aldi but the numerous caterpillars that were in it put me off.... I don't like making the dinner turning into a biology lesson;)

Asda used to be quite nice but last time i went in one (which is about 3 years ago) it was more like a warehouse. Never been back since

Camden only has safeways M&S and sainsburys. Occasionally I go out to tesco but although ASDA is cheap I always find them opressive, dingy and full of proles.
As an organic munching member of the elite I do not frequent the same superstores as the chavs.

seriously i would never gonna walk into asda ever again..siince my last vist...last night. It was pretty much horrible due to my frst impression of ASDA. Can u believe it they have to have 2 aisle of junk food??! feeding americans ?!
cant seemed to see any microwaveable food which is semi fresh, not like tesco and sainsbury does. And they look very cheap, dirt cheap.
I think M&S does better than ASDA. Tbh, i am sainsbury and tesco straight up :)

You obviously missed the Ketchup, Tomatoes, Chicken Tikka Massala, Kidney Beans, Red Apples, Dishcloths, Dog/Cat Bowls, Towels, and Red Wine.

she is only 9 and she wasn't doing the catering for the disco.....;)
I think the staff might have had something to say if she had turned up with a bottle of red wine!:D Although after the day I had yesterday I could have done with the bottle myself!!!
Hey Alexxx - what flavours do they do? The kids like icecream..... They are building a Lidl store a couple of miles away from me - but judging by the photo I won't have any problems finding a parking space if I go there:D

If you have an Ice Cream maker, there's this

If you drink 3 bottles of Amaretto, then any type of Ice cream will taste of Amaretto :) (No Ice cream maker needed)

now it is funny that you should suggest that but....today we bought a pot of cornish ice cream and a bottle of amaretto. I baked some amaretti biscuits and crumbled them into the icecream and poured in 'some' amaretto. Unfortunately the high alcohol content is making it take ages and ages for the icecream to get solid again....but it sure tastes good;)
I think if it is still having problems tomorrow we will have to get the icecream maker out to zap it into submission!:D
Zeph that recipe sounded very interesting but ...what is half and half? I fancy trying it out if I can get that stuff at Tesco or 'Asda';)

Carrot you missed MY recipe. You Drink the amaretto (preferably in copious amounts) and I promise that your Cornish Ice Cream will taste of Amaretto all night long. I'm not responsible for any Pink Elephants (or other such mythical beasts) that you may encounter shortly after the Amaretto intake though. The added bonus is, there is no waiting for the Ice cream to set. Before eating the Ice Cream though, I would advise taking a couple of days holiday at work.... My type of Ice cream tends to make you ill for some reason. No Idea why :)

LOL:D Yes I am sure that after 3 bottles of Amaretto anything would taste of Amaretto and I would be talking to the trees too!:D
I did make a start on the Amaretto icecream front last night - tried some this morning after breakfast and it still hasn't frozen...hehe - the high altitude of where I live is obviously having an effect on it as it couldn't be the alcohol content could it?;)
I can't wait to experiment with other icecreams and the drinks cupboard.....everyone has to have a hobby!:D
