What Memory do I have?

Hi Guys,
This may be a very silly question but; I want to upgrade my memory from 512 Mb to 1024 Mb but I dont know what type of memory I currently have on board. What is the easiest way to find out???

Chances are its printed on a little sticky label on the Ram stick. :)

You dont have to open it up, just use this program and it tells you all about all your hardware on your computer:

Right mouse click on 'my computer' icon and select properties that will tell you on the front tab.

That wont tell you if its for example 2 of 256 of 1 of 512 ........ and also it wont tel l you the brand, believe me, that program rules :D

i was looking to do this but after a little chat with swank and wheels i realised that more memory was pointless for some technical reason i dont really understand, i think its to do with the processor.
What i am saying is maybe you should post your spec and get some advice first??
