OK I'm moving house and I've found a flat I like but Telewest, my current ISP, dont do that area.

Can anyone recommend any good ISPs? I want a good connection min 512 kbps. NO DOWNLOAD LIMITS!!!

Its a right pisser because we had the telewest cable TV too which was great.

Damn annoying.

Including work, I have had 4 different ISPs for ADSL in the last 3 years, the best I have found is plusnet tbh. Its £28.99 for a 1meg unlimited or about £22 for 512 unlimted. I actually pay £23 for my 1meg since they run a referal scheme and I got a little bit of discount.

My pings are really low now. Pipex are also worth a look from £23.44 for unlimted 512.

I'll sing the praises of Pipex too, never needed to contact customer support which I consider a good thing.

Agree with BFR if your on adsl. Nirdram are very good, quick, and professional if you have any problems at all (got them at home, and at sisters place - not 1 problem, never ever been down either). As $ says, adsl guide is the place to check.

If you are still in a cabled area, then ntl are not too bad. Have been on them whilst at uni. £19.99 for 768/128 or summin, and thats chaning to 3MBs/128 soon, although they are apparently bringing in a cap, but there is debate as to whether this will be a hard cap or not. Pretend your a student, you get it cheaper + they dont even check.... i am a student, but they had no way of knowing it, and i got the student deal!
