I used to love the original settlers game, and even settlers2. Settlers 3 & 4 however didn't float my boat, so I never bothered. Settlers - Heritage of Kings is the latest verion in the series. I've just started playing a "demo" version, and i have to say, I'm pleasantly impressed. It seems to be more a cross between the Warcraft series and settlers. The graphics are very nice indeed and the menu system is easy enough to get your head around. I shall play some more to see how it fans out :)

I'm currently buying this at the minute, as the original Settlers was ace. I know this one is completely different tho.

Should have it in about 4 and a half hours. :(

i bought the settlers 3 the other day and have enjoyed it ever since, i may have to "purchase" this one

The authors admitted that 1 & 2 were the best versions and that they lost their way with 2 & 4. I recall them saying that the new version would hark back to the early versions.

You can get a demo from the website :)

I'm still waiting on my copy, but i'm not too sure if they're going to deliver a full copy, as i can only see them carrying 97% of it. Silly couriers.

It's completely different to The Settlers as we know it. Which is a shame. I have The Settlers 1 tho for PC, so i'm good :)

After playing a few levels of it, I've now decided that this is very far removed from the original settlers game/Idea. It's far more like a cross between Age of Empires and Warcraft 3. The only element that's similar to settlers is the style of ingame music. :( I still quite like it though (I also enjoyed Warcaft 3 and Age of Empires)

Hint for Scooter - The rain is TORRENTial here today :p

Well when the torrential rain falls, it often brings along seeds of change. This is when the trackers come out into the forests. ahem :)

Just bought this game and i must say i like it.Its worth buying, gets the Grez seal of approval. TAXES/TAXES/TAXES..........ROFL............

Erm I completed it a couple of weeks ago, and TBH I felt very let down. A "Bot" multiplayer version like Red Alert 2 might have swung it for me. But the only multiplayer option being a LAN is poo. The single missions were (Are) far to easy

hummm.....
i love settlers3 one of my top 10 games
was looking to DL the demo and possibly buying the full version,
but no online game???
(or is that just cause of all the rain trout?? )
