If it is like that only occaisionally then you cant do allot.. glitch in the matrix. if it is like that all the time I would ring up and tell them as I think that constitutes as an unacceptable response time.. our network company works upon anything over 50ms to remote sites as not within service parameters. And you will probably find that they will only know about it if you tell them. Most networks are only monitored to the point of connectivity yes or no.. slow responses are usually investigated once reported. Hope that helps or explaing something or nothing :p

Well whilst were on the subject of Trace Routes, here's mine from HLSW. Can anyone explain what all the Black stuff is about? It doesn't look very good, and it me thinks this is why my connection (yes that old chestnut) is so poo. This is the trace with my router -

And this was to see if returning to my ADSL modem would solve the problem (i'm getting desperate).

Any ideas / Cures will be tried and tested, as I've run out of them :(

I think I've just worked out what the black bits are. It's packets of data being sent and recieved. I've just tried the server on my ADSL modem, and I can move around fine, but occasionally I get a stutter (lag) effect, where I appear frozen for a microsecond. Yet I killed people. Compared to the Router graph, where everything appears fine, yet even though I know someone should be dead, I get very little hits on them. Again any ideas of a fix would be greatly appreciated!
