Hi All,
After installing Far Cry on my PC (£10 from Play.com btw) and the auto detect graphic set everything to LOW, I have decided its maybe new PC time. So I would like the benefit of the vast amount of knowlegde we have knocking about here to help me buy the right PC.
After I quick look around the net (well serveral hours) I found this little monster

Please a look and tell me what you think........? Is there anywhere else I could get a good box from (pre-build)? Is this SLI graphics stuff any good? Any thing else?
Thanks in advance,
Karl

I just configured that PC to how I'd want it and it came to just shy of £2500, reckon I could build it cheaper.

SLI is the new way to go ATI is on the way out and PCI-express will also be going out too
never read a bad thing to do with MESH computers and the band is good to :)
buy it if you dont want to build your own.
also give them a bell and see if they will upgrade a few things instead of giving you the keyboard+mouse

scooter PCI-e is here alrealdy and has been superseeded (SP?) by SLI
but it does depend alot on your thinking
so say SLI isnt as good as it sounds, others say its way better than PCI-e

']SLI is the new way to go ATI is on the way out and PCI-express will also be going out too
SLI is not going to replace PCI-e at all. You use SLI over PCI-e slots. SLI is just the technology to get two gpu's working together and sharing the load. PCI-express is the slot that you use to put two SLI'd cards in.

The technology is based on a 1998 innovation by 3dfx called Scan Line Interleave. Six years later, utilizing PCI Express (http://xyzcomputing.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=257&Itemid=26#) technology and the nForce 4 chipset NVIDIA has again harnessed the power of two GPUs
