If you want a train sim go get Trainz railroad simulator, aparantly is the best train sim, i know someone who has it has a lot of backrounds etc.

Erm Sorry guys, I work (As most of you already know) for the Railway, and believe me, Train Driving (In Real life) has to be one of the most mind numbingly boring jobs known to man (Believe me, I've tried it and gave up my promotion to Driving in favour of the Supervisory side). I'm baffled as to why anyone would want to play a simulator. (Me looks forward longingly to the Release of Microsoft Bus Driver, Microsoft Sinclair C5 Driver, and Microsoft Paint Drying Sim)

it is hard to say my favourite as they are changing constantly but ill go with a steady 5 that have been my fave forever and a day. counter strike does not make it as it is a net game and i would not class this as a story based game

I had Stalker, the one with the walker type robot, and you could walk over enemys too.
Is the other one possibly called 'Dogs Of War'? there is one bit where you can buy your weapons and then go and kill everything that moves, my fav weapon was the minigun

Mind you, I did enjoy any game by the Bitmap Brothers, loved Xenon Megablast (vertical shooter)

1:Civilization series, (bin playing these for 13 years now and seeing as civ 4 is out i can c myself playing them for years to come)
2:X-com series (the combination of turn based strats +rpg stylee upgrades base building, reasearch and aliens this game has it all, sheer geek heaven )
3:Monkey island series ( before modern rpgs were these superb point and click adventures from lucasfilm chrs george , hilarious)
4:Baldurs gate series + planscape torment- basically black isle rpgs, need i say more?
5:Elite series: although hard to get into with a steep learning curve and crappy graphics the gameplay and scope and replayabilty was truly amazing, cant wait for elite online.
5a: the Chaos Engine and Speedball 2, the bitmap brothers were kings of the amiga and these 2 games alone broke at least 4 joysticks, in the time before mice :)
