I have Guild Wars and played the Beta period aswell.Its a good game plenty to explore and do.The fact of no monthly fees makes this game popular.Although I read some were that expansion packs will be made for guild wars but you dont have to buy them.They will just give you new skills etc..My characters a level 9 ranger called Malek so I might see some loonies in the arena lol.Worth 17.99 from play.com :)

It really isn't as good as WoW. Doesn't feel smooth, doesn't have nearly as much content and for all the time I played it I just thought that [insert item/quest etc] was just like one I had seen already on WoW. When they don't bother adding content your level 22 characters will seem like a waste of time :)

MMORPG's are all preference really, there are quite a few to choose from, i disliked WOW it felt like a one player game to me and the quests were very poor, my favorite is Dark Age Of Camelot, but it has lost alot of players because the gfx arent as good as the new game. So far ive enjoyed guild wars, i prefer the quests etc. and the gfx are lovely too.

the quests on guild wars are a darn site more entertaining, especially the co-operative ones like the ELItE ones from WOW but you find a group instantly, another plus for guild wars is it doesnt have the alliance vs horde scenario, the server i played was 75% alliance and as a horde it sucked.

actually GW is based on PvP and just building ur char for that, WoW is build on a larger "whole world scale" with combined PvP and quest gaming... but I suppose u could say that WoW is just an upgrade of tomb raider as that was the first game to control that way ... or maybe it isnt the same :)

the original blizzard developers made guild wars, the ones who did WOW are a new set of developers. If you think this game is a WOW rip-off with less content you msut be playing a different game from me, plus they were developed at the same time, WOW follows the exact same principles as past MMORPG's like Everquest, Anarchy Online and Dark Age of Camelot. GW's shouldnt be bunched with them at all, for one Guild wars had a story and an END, its more like a Final Fantasy game with a multi player co-operative core running through it, and competition in the guilds.
