The 85% stuff that I had didn't seem particularly watery.

Shame to mix it with lemonade though. Setting it on fire is good (or pouring a bit onto some sugar and then lighting that and using it to ignite the rest as you stir it in - then down it) but reduces the alcohol. Still its good if you want to look good in front of your mates without getting too battered.

Yaba is a derivative of synthetic Amphetamines such as speed and can be manufactured far more quickly and easily than traditional forms of amphetamine. The recipe has spread from the Far East by word of mouth and on the Internet. We've experienced some difficulty getting a consistent description of ingredients and effects, with some reports stating that the drug is mostly methamphetamine, running 80% pure with much of the cut being cast off from Heroin production.

The main ingredients, which include salt, household cleaning products, distilled cold medicines and lithium from camera batteries, can be bought legally and the drug easily knocked out at home with a couple of casserole dishes and a hob.

It is known as 'crazy medicine' pronounced yar bah. Now Yaba a new drug more popular than Heroin in parts of the Far East, is heading for Britain, amid warnings that it could supersede Ecstasy as the drug of choice for the country's clubbers. Yaba has become increasingly popular in the Far East amongst claims that the drug is now bigger than Heroin in Thailand.

This drug, which creates an intense hallucinogenic effect and can enable users to stay awake for days on end, was originally created by German chemists instructed by Adolf Hitler to find a stimulant that would help his soldiers to fight around the clock.

Drug experts are warning that Britain is being targeted by Yaba producers operating out of the so-called Golden Triangle - the drug producing areas which straddle the borders of Thailand, Burma and Laos.

Packages of a drug thought to be Yaba were intercepted at Heathrow Airport. There have been other recent seizures in France and Ireland, and there is evidence that illegal laboratories in the United Kingdom are attempting to make it.

The rewards for criminals can be huge. Around £300 pounds of raw materials can make Yaba worth more than £2,000 at British street prices. Since the equipment needed is portable, labs can be moved on a regular basis, making it more difficult for police to track them down.

The so-called Nazi method of making Yaba was first noticed in Thailand more than 30 years ago. At the time it was legal and would be sold at petrol stations alongside soft drinks and cigarettes. Long-distance lorry drivers would pop the pills to help them work through the night. Possession and supply of Yaba was criminalized in 1970, but the market simply went underground.

While it is true that Yaba is cheaper and easier to produce than the current club drug of choice, Ecstasy (MDMA), this cannot be the only reason for the rise of the drug. After all, these are two very different kinds of drugs. Yaba, as as you will find out, causes disturbing hallucinations. Ecstasy, on the other hand, is known to produce a euphoric effect, causing the users to have strong feelings of warmth and "connection" to those around them.

Demand for the drug in Britain is being fuelled by holiday makers returning from the Far East, who talked about the intense high it induces.

Half a lager (we used Stella), One bottle or Smirnoff Ice and a double vodka (the injection)

Another old classic is Green Death - Half and half of cider and lager (snakebite) and a shot of blue bols and a shot of vodka. The pint goes green and gets you twatted.

vodka ginger beer and freshly cut lime. tis good cos u cant taste the vodka :D - so only use cheap (smirnoff) vodka. If its good vodka, drink it straight, dbl shot, no ice.

The best way and fancy way to light absinthe is get a firm orange, slice the skin off about an inch*inch making sure u do not get any of the orange itself. Now hold either side of the peel and light. When u c see the flame begin to flicker squeeze on to the absinthe and hey presto u get a big flame that lights the absinthe.

Ps. if any of you know about cocktails then that is how u garnish a Cosmopolitan. but works well for lighting highly flammable spirits!

Just came back from the Pamplona Bull Run festival (San Fermines) and everyone drinks Kalimotxo (pronounced Kalimocho) which is cheap red wine + coke. It tastes good at first, then minging and finally you become ill. Quality!

People drink it cos its the only thing that's cheap during the festival. 1L of red wine from supermercado = £0.30p

Basically it was half a squeezed lime with a squirt of Angostura, with ice double vodka and lemonade - feckin gorgeous!!! :D

Blue Vodka and Irn-Bru is my fav at my work :D (may be underrage but hey life's worth living) ive had green absinthe before and got smashed was good fun striaght from ASDA :D

lets say again... u havent got real absinthe over there, there is a limit of how much Artemisia absinthium thats allowed because this herb is what gives the weird effects... basicly absinthe is just a common booze made on wormwood, just like danish snaps is made on potatoes.. but the difference is that here they use herbs to counter the bitterness that the pure absinthe would have, therefor the old monks that originally made it put herbs into it and with a large enough amount of Artemisia absinthium they could use it as calming medicine, they could even make the patient pass out from very little of it.
note that today the amount thats allowed in absinth is between 10mg/l and 30 mg/l depending where u are in europe... back then they just made it to fit their needs..

later the europeans found out that by controling the amount of herbs they had a fine drinking but even later the governments started their absinthe hunting making it illegal in most countries.

BUT in 2004, 14th July I think, the original Swiss bleau absinthe was unbanned and the 96 year old destillery once again could make it :)

so trust me, I have tasted the illegal stuff, and its damn much stronger than the stuff u buy elsewhere...

I've actually considered trying to make my own absinthe. Theres a Roman herb garden in Lincoln which has some wormwood in :)
