My little brother used to play this (with the little plastic soldiers) but the reviews have been good and I havent bought an RTS since total annihilation so I thought I'd give it a go. Game are selling it for £14.98...
Anyway I've done the first few levels and its pretty damn good. There seems to be quite a big modding community out there too and there's an expansion pack coming out later in the year.
Not bad at all.

Dawn of War is awesome; Nothing is as satisfying as being the Space Marine commander and calling down an orbital bombardment on an ork camp!! See da boyz get der ass kicked ia funny!

I remember when this was being played at the first LAN, it wasn't that large in terms of armies [As far as I remember it was only Space MArines, Orks, Chaos Marines and one other - Eldar?]
I used to collect 40k ages ago. Then stopped because I got caught shoplifting. Started again around 5 years ago and stopped a couple of years later. I still have quite a few models which some are painted very nicely if I say so myself.
I made my own Space Marine Chapter [After becoming obsessed with Ultramarines, then White Scars, then Crimson Fists] where I combined my love of Ancient Egypt with teh minatures. Teh Sons Of Ra were born. I even entered Golden Demon with a HQ entry. Terminator command squad with blue tack sculpted into heads of the gods. I'll take a piccy.
It's all about Tyrannids anyway.

Having played it for a few days now... it is still brilliant but the single player campaign is shit. It's only 12 battles- most of which are identical. The skirmish mode is great though- and there's lots of maps available and different armies and mods. Overall very good - just disappointed by the single player game.
