i want to make a thin img like the ones i have atm, and i want it to look like its scrolling up or down an img

Have you checked thru the tutorials on the potatoeshop website?? thats all i can suggest really.

I have spent hours looking at those tuts jo3 there are pages and pages of them, im sure youll find summat suitable.

well i've found http://www.good-tutorials.com/track/7967 and i'm going to fiddle with his for the mo

*EDIT* UPDATE
had a go and let me know what you think of them and any ideas you may have
it might be a bit big (404108 bytes ) for a forum

also was trying to have it start with an invizable background that faded in and then out again..... works ok in imageready but not once i save it

looks very nice jo3 but i think it would look better if u take the Ct put at all then u just have 2 clear pic.

yea it is a work in progress
the CT thing was just an expriament
was fun doing this and i've learnt some new tricks too
might do i bit more work on it later tonight

thinking of making it much thinner ( just for noodles XD )

way on the large size though

u can have good animation in a small file eg. mine 90kbs

The motion of the characters looks a bit jerky. Have you tried doing it in Flash and exporting it as a gif? This would also give you more optimisation tools I think :)

EDIT: But it looks good :) I like the fading in mixed with the motion.

i can make it smaller by using less frames
think its 40 or 50 atm RE: its a big file
i would love to do it in flash but i dont have a flash prog and the only one i used b4 was swift or swiss...

I'm sure you can 'acquire' Flash MX (or whatever the latest version is) from the internets somewhere...
