Hope somebody can help me here.
I watched a vid and in it I saw that the members of SK had modded their CS start screens. instead of the usual two blokes with guns, they replaced that with th SK logo and thier name Shroet Kommando.
Now I'm wondering how this is done cos I'd like to see Grammaton Clerics there instead.
Any help would be apperiated, thx

ok bm i manage to do a bit of snooping around in the cs gcf file and there is a very strange and difficult way to do it.
seems that the image is made up of 12 different images which is then place in an order to create and image like a big puzzle so u could do it that way.

use GCFScape to open the "counter-strike.gcf" compressed package in your SteamApps folder and then go to the directory that Raydox mentioned.

Right, now I've extracted the tga files i want to modify with GCFScape.
Once I've changed them, how do I put them back? I cannot see anyway that I can replace the standard files with the modified ones with GCFScape.
Help pls

Ah, I've cracked it.
Just added the folder Raydox said I need to find in the GCF file.
Added the folder into my own account folder and hey presto.
Cheers for all the help guys

It's pretty basic. I noticed that the res on the font is rather choppy when displayed on the splash screen...
Prob room for improvement, but I did hash it together in 5 mins
