Sigames create two games. thats it, and these two game are quite specific in customer base and genre.. Football is an ever changing sport, unlike counterstrike, which is a static story. The reason why so many people buy FM every year is because they don't just add "new bits of code" but continually listen to their customer base in order to profide a goame that people want to play. We're not talking about churning out games every year for te sake of it, like EA, its a full year of new developement. Football Manager 2005 was completely re-written for example, not doctored CM3 code. When they release CM 01/02 they lowered the RRP because they felt the update wasn't enough to warrent a full price game. They provide expansion packs and at least one data update for each release and are extremely active on their own forums. Why would you not want to support a company that does these sort of things for a customer? If you wanna flame a company, pick a big one like EA or Microsoft :P [/rantathon]

as i dont like or play footy games i didnt know this
i was only going on what a friend says about the CM games
i remember him saving 30 quid b4 by DLing a 'mod' for an older version of the game to bring it up to date

and tbh the game dont change that much, ok the managers and players names change and who plays for who also changes but when was the last big rule change? what i mean is something like in F1 where this yr they did the tire rule thing

anyhow like you all know i dont get soccer at all, never been a fan and dont think i will, tho i can understand that some people would get involved in it

they do release free patches, 5 for FM2005 for example and one free data update after the transfer window ended.
