Well, I'm a little excited too. This should hopefully show off what source can do.

as a few might know or have also read it looks like there is going to be a big-ish change to source
We're also planning a release for next week that will update the Source engine to the same version used for Day of Defeat: Source. There are a number of small fixes contained in this release that we'll cover in detail when it's closer to release time
the fact that they wont say now and the wording "Source engine to the same version used for Day of Defeat: Source" makes me think that they deffo have learnt a lot from CS: Source and are making more than a few small changes

i pre-ordered mine last night i am a big fan of dod and i think it will be a whole lot better than cs:s,
cs was not a game about havin great graphics etc it was all about speed and no time for soaking up the graphics, dod:s will be mega, war games are just a whole lot better with shit hot graphics and the excellent HL2 engine :)

bit off topic but if u played DOD you may have also played Firearms?
Any1 know if this mod still exists>? used to like it a lot...about 4.5 yrs ago :D and im slowly getting bored with cs again so might switch to another mod....maybe even give DOD a look--did play DOD for a very short time , but i preferred firearms
