Looking at the poll, we have enough players to run a cup.

I want everyone who wants to play to send me a PM with "LA CUP" in the title. I will collect these names up and do a random draw for teams.

Team size will depend on how many people we get playing.

For 5 v 5 we will need either 40 or 80 players
For 6 v 6 we need 48 players
For 7 v 7 we need 56 players
For 8 v 8 we need 64 players

At the moment 60 people have voted yes for the cup which means we will be playing a 7v7 competition. The people who are drawn last will be placed in a reserve plot. These players will be eligible to play for any team in the competition if there is an absence. Once this player has played for a team they are then tied to that team.

Team captains will be voted for by the players. If there is no agreement on this then I will appoint on player as captain. Captains are responsible for organising their cup ties with opposing teams.

At the moment we will be having a 3 round tournament. If we get 80 players to signup then it will be a 4 round tournament.

The map will be de_dust2. The rules will be the same as the LA1.6 server, ie no snipers.

I am hoping DD will be able to set up a second server on the 1.6 box. Please tell everyone one the server about the cup and how to sign up. The more the merrier.

In how many days is the cup finished? How about vent/ts? What if I or one of my teammates can't make it one night?

I will give everyone a time limit in which to play their games ie, first round must be finished by a certain date etc. Vent and TS are ok, but you will only be able to see your own team when dead. If one of your teammates can't make it, either reorganise the match (within the timelimits) or substitute them for one of the reserves.

Another pointi n general, if your a reserve player for one cup, you can't be a reserve for the next one.

I don't want this one to drag out. Like I said, there will be timelimits for each round. The problem with clan v clan is that some clans had loads of members and others only had enough to cover the team, with it as random it means that the people who are playing are doing so because they want to not just because their clan are playing.

I think it's better to set exact dates for it first or else it's exactly like the loony league but I guess you might jsut pull it off :p
