LoonyAsylum.net On The Move

Hi there folks, just to let you know that LoonyAsylum will be moving to a new home soon as we are having problems with the current host. A lot of people have had problems with DNS Resolution and the like and I am hoping that these issues will be fixed (And I can't see why they wouldn't) As the DNS Servers will be changed, etc. The LoonyAsylum.net Domain is due for renewal in June so the sooner the better. This will also mark the return of the Shoutbox.

With any luck the site will be a lot faster to access.

This move will mean the forums will be down for a few days (not sure how long just yet) But I will be setting up a stand-in forum for the mean time and I will announce the address here ASAP.

Fingers crossed x, I can get on all the other 12784561236845123561234 billion sites but not Loony (?) This has only happened since I bought a Belkin wireless modem router thing :( And I cant plug both in at once because I then get no ADSL signal at all, It's a bit annoying but I can live with it.
But I would appreciate the help if it carrys on.

Well the software and database will be the same so I cant see the move making any difference to your crashing. I may upgrade the software during the transfer but we'll see.

It crashes because it uses too much cpu, they've got lame firewalls here.
In the morning it doesnt crash because internet traffice in the company is less busy

As you should have noticed if you're reading this then the forum has been moved over, things went pretty smoothly.

o You will need to re-upload your Avatar as Database transfers arent that great when it comes to stored images
o The Portal isn't working just yet but should be soon
o I will sort out an easier domain name soonish for use until the LoonyAsylum.net domain moves over.

Quick Update, I've just upgraded vBulletin to its latest version, removed the portal (temporarily as the version that was installed will not work with this version of vB) and disabled all of the mods, let's see how it runs.
